Our Teachers

At Sacred Self our yoga teachers do more than just guide you through postures and breathing techniques, we also create a safe and supportive environment. We have a strong understanding of yoga’s benefits and are eager to share them with you. Our passion is to help you find or rediscover your inner peace and physical strength through yoga.

Subsequently Angie pursued a children’s yoga teacher certification and is a certified Children’s and Pre-Teen yoga teacher through Kidding Around Yoga.

She brings an energy to the practice that makes it accessible to everyBODY. Megan completed her 200 hour yoga certification in 2014 with Marni Task / Jivasara style of yoga. A blend of Jivamukti and Anusara styles of yoga.

“I teach a slow flow/ gentle/ restorative style of yoga. I love to infuse a light hearted and fun way to learn about yoga and the self. I’m a hands on kind of teacher, I love to do hands on assists and infuse that with Reiki.

My intention for teaching yoga is to lead others back to their own bodies and selves. To feel safe at home in your body. Help students find the tools in their inner toolbox to overcome strong emotions and anxiety. I love what I do because I am passionate about teaching and connecting with people!”

Mike Boyes

Mike started practicing yoga over 12 years ago as a way to relieve back pain. He soon discovered all the other benefits yoga and mindfulness had to offer including lower stress and better sleep among others. In 2019 he went to his first Kundalini Yoga class. It was a life changing experience. He knew he wanted to share this transformational practice with others and got certified to teach Kundalini Yoga in 2020 and has been teaching since 2021.

Amy Granat

Amy has been practicing yoga on and off with her daughter, Emma for the past few years. After suffering a personal loss in the summer of 2023, she came to Sacred Self to find some comfort and deepen her practice and love for yoga.

This experience led her to pursue her 200 Hour YTT Certification from the Yogamu Institute. She has immersed herself in yoga practices throughout Lake and Ashtabula County, learning new techniques from other amazing teachers in the area. She is always willing to learn and is eager to find more, often creative ways, to engage her students, providing them with a very positive experience. She takes great pride in providing her own personal touches such as her selection of poses for class, possible readings of the day, and playlists as well as incorporating relaxing sounds and hands on assists during savasana.

She is excited to share her passion and love for yoga along with all the positive energy and healing qualities it has to offer. She finds that finding just a few times a week to take time out of her day for some meditation and self care makes a world of difference in the way that she reacts with others and approaches her day.

When she is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with family, riding her bike, and baking.
